2001 Hyundai Accent GL review from North America
"Reliable motoring at an affordable price"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Wheel bearings failed at 75000km.
Rear brakes needed replacing at 75000km (drums cylinder pads and pipes)
The windshield wipers are very poor quality and leave streaks on the glass at speeds above 80km/h.
General comments?
Needed a low mileage car to drive into the ground at a fast speed and I got it with this. I am a bit disappointed that the wheel bearings didn't last longer, but since they were fixed its been fantastic.
Its quick, roomy comfortable economical to run and always starts first time, even in the depths of a Canadian winter. It travels 250km a day and has not complained once.
