1998 Peugeot 106 GTi review from UK and Ireland
"Pocket rocket you will never regret driving"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Bracket to hold handbrake cable snapped, off-side wheel bearings went+ back box rusted, but it had only done 23k in 5yrs so not bad at all only major problem was the head gasket started to leak around 28-30k & I had a few problems with head gasket leaking again & again possibly a 3rd time now, but I feel this was down to the dealer that fixed the car, don't think they know the car that well, but they hold the warranty for it at present.
General comments?
General this car is excellent.
Handles corners like its on rails, picks up really quick & even when doing high speeds it picks up well, braking is good, saved me from a few incidents, but if speeding tho just leave distance for braking. 30-40mpg depending on how you drive.
Interior is leather, comfortable bucket style seats, space is small - but feels big for a small car.
No problems bodywork wise.
