2003 Lincoln LS V6 premium review from North America
"A great car at the right price"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Nothing so far.
General comments?
Acceleration is great, this car handles excellent (for not being equipped with the sport package) it also rides much better than our previous 2002 ls V8 sport.
The V6 has much better gas mileage than the V8 and can be purchased with the same interior options without the gas drinking V8 and electronic trip computer for roughly $8000 less brand new.
New options for 2003 include navigation, THX stereo, climate controlled front seats, and heated rear seats.
This car (V6) has 232 horse power which moves the car with ease. When compared to our 2002 ls V8 that had 252 horse power I really don't notice much of a difference. (except in gas mileage)
If your considering purchasing a new or used ls I would suggest road testing the 2002 or older V8 and compare it to a 2003 or 2004 V6. You won't find much of a difference in performance, but you will in fuel economy and over all pricing of the vehicle.
The car is very roomy and is loaded with cool gadgets like a power telescopic steering wheel, power pedals, and reverse parking sensors.
In my opinion the 2003 V6 is a much better choice over all as far as "bang for buck" but if performance is what your looking for check out the 2003 and newer ls V8 for its 280 horse power and sport suspension.
