2002 MG ZR 105 review from UK and Ireland
"Excellent base model car than brought a smile to my face every day"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Depending on which side of the car faced the sun, that door would stick meaning you had to prise the door open at the top then slide a hand as far down as you could to give the door card a good smack to loosen it. Seemed to be the door card catching on the rubber seals, but this only happened in very sunny weather which thankfuly, doesn't happen over here that much!
General comments?
For a 1.4 engine, the ZR was a nifty bit of kit. 0-60 times were amazing compared to some other cars I looked at.
Great legroom both front and back.
Seats were extremely comfortable due to the bucket design.
The car stuck to the road like glue.
The ZR always drew looks from people and it's definitely a wolf in sheep's clothing.
Very basic specification, but I paid to get all the extras above and beyond the 105+ model at a cheaper price.
