2000 Lotus Elise Atlantis review from UK and Ireland
"Superb car for a reasonable price"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
1. Sticking throttle at 2000-3000 rpm, fixed under warranty at first service.
2. Temeperature display in dash very erratic. To be looked at when I get a day off to take the car in. Doesn't seem to have any effect on the car though, and settles down when the car's not moving.
General comments?
Very fast, handles superbly, lovely to drive and I'll find it very hard to go back to an "ordinary" car after this. I've had a couple of faults but they've been sorted out promptly by SGT in Taplow, Maidenhead. My girlfriend has also fallen in love with the car, so I think we might have find the money for another one soon.
It's also not the most practical car, but if that's not on your list of priorities then this car should be at the top of your shopping list.
