The Datsun Violet 140J was the first car I owned. I purchased it at the age of 17, re-sprayed it black from a rusty white colour, and spent two years driving around init. The car was bullet-proof in terms of the mechanics and the bodywork was fairly tidy.
Downside was the bland cabin interior, but the materials wore well. Comfortable supportive seats and an effective heater system made the car a pleasure to drive.
