1988 Chevrolet Beretta review from North America
"Good price car with high performance and minor problems"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
The Head Gasket needed to be replaced when I bought the car at 174,250 miles.
When driving the car in the rain or through puddles the car misses and backfires for an extended period of time. About 200 miles so far for me.
Body has started to rust and interior needs work.
The lights behind the dash do not work have replaced connectors and bulbs, but it still doesn't work.
The E-brake no longer works also.
The Door seals wear out easily and leak water.
The car also needs new struts, the ones in the car are badly worn so the car sways when turning.
General comments?
The car has good performance for a 2.0 automatic.
The interior is comfortable, but wears easily and harshly.
Overall the car is reliable and only gave me problems when driving in hard rain.
The car handles well and takes hard corners with ease.
