1985 BMW 5 Series M535i review from UK and Ireland
"Hidden gem! Find one if you can!NO GET ONE!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Ignition barrel/tumbler failed on me with the steering lock still on. Had to remove lock and barrel and replace with new items. The cost only £102 from BMW.
Not so much as a fault, but more of a drag, the car still has original metric/trx alloys so expensive tyres.
General comments?
Love six cylinder cars and a jump up from a v6 2.9 scorpio was always on the cards.Brilliant!manual box, big six, great straight line performance!
My M535i is not in a1 condition more like b1 but I love her!
Fuel economy is only a little bit worse than the more modern ford!
