1998 Kia Clarus GLX (Credos in Aus) review from Australia and New Zealand
"Excellent car. Difficult to replace"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Power steering hose over motor split 90k.
Alternator failed 130k. $1000 A$ to fix.
Indicator combo switch replaced 3 times under warranty (finally found to be plastic column housing catching it!)
Front parking lamp blew at 100k
Rear disk pads wear out at 40K
Front disk pads replaced with 4mm left at 100K.
General comments?
I bought the car because it was a bargain and had everything I wanted except the passenger air bag. I still have the car because I can't find anything good enough to replace it. At least not under $40k.
Dirt road handling is awesome! Safe and predictable. I can leave more powerful cars like the 3.5L Magna for dead. Although that may also be because I'm prepared to let the suspension and tyres work hard.
