1991 Geo Prizm Base review from North America

My radiator blew at 60,000 miles and now again at 185,000 miles.

The door handles "sank" in the door frame and became harder to pull up on.

The key broke off in the ignition and needed to be replaced (although I've never bothered, the broken part of the key still fits when I put it in and the car has always turned over).

The drivers side window broke and would not role up flush with the window frame, (had a breeze for several years).

The starter wore out, was replaced at 100,000.

The battery that came with the car wore out at less than 10,000 miles.

The front wheel alignment goes out of whack easily and needs to be adjusted on a regular basis.

Had a problem with the electrical wiring to the brake lights (bulb would not light up, replace wires and bulb).

Brakes have been replaced once because I didn't replace the brake pads soon enough and the brakes wore out.

CV Boots have been replaced once and need to be replaced again at 185,000.

Tempurature gauge broke for the radiator which tells the fan to turn on to cool the engine. Overheated so I got the gauge replaced.

I have not driven my car for 7 months because I haven't had the money to fix the radiator and get the CV boots replaced, but hopefully I'll get that together this month. I miss my car!!! It's been an extremely reliable, very easy to drive little car and it hasn't gotten nearly enough credit for the great car it is!
