2003 Peugeot 307 1.6 S review from UK and Ireland
"Very good value car that I am proud to own"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
The oil level gauge rarely works. A temperature sensor was replaced, followed by the dashboard binacle. Neither fixed the problem, although there is now a computer download available which should fix the problem according to the Dealer.
General comments?
The car is very comfortable indeed and there is a terrific feeling of space inside the car. It's a very pleasant environment in which to travel.
The car's performance is fairly good - it's a fairly large car for a 1.6 litre engine (you certainly would not want the 1.4 litre) but it whips along at cruising speeds on the motorway and around town is pretty swift too. The only slight criticism is that pulling away from being stationery (at the traffic lights) can be a little sluggish. I would imagine the 2.0 litre to be perfect.
The handling is excellent - corners are a dream!
The standard equipment is generous and the levels of safety equipments are excellent compared to its rivals - 6 airbags, Anti-lock brakes (that are brilliant), etc.
