2003 Kia Spectra review from North America
"I'm glad it has a warranty"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Sometimes I need to start it two or three times before it runs normally--but this seems to be a chance occurrence (sometimes it happens every day, other times it doesn't happen for a month).
Check engine light kept coming on, the first time they replaced some sensor.
Two days later it came on again and they said it was some module which was controlling that sensor had to be replaced.
The third time the check engine light came on (the day after I just got it back from the dealer) they told me that even though they replaced the module, the old one had been programmed wrong and had already told the transmission to do things like shift two gears at the same time and so it completely messed up the transmission and now they have to replace it--at about 7,000 miles. Right now I'm waiting for my transmission to get here.
General comments?
I'm glad it has a warranty.
It was relatively cheap.
