2000 Dodge Intrepid review from North America

Purchased this car used at around 71000 miles. Dealership told me was a very reliable car, and was informed nothing was wrong with it. After trading in my van for $500 and putting down $1500 was very proud in driving it home. Most beautiful vehicle I have ever owned. Had warranty of 30 days or 1000 miles. What do you know? My oil light came on a few times so I had the oil changed. 2 weeks later made my first payment. One week after that the car started making a noise like a lawn mower. Called my mechanic and he said it was the oil pump. Not to drive it, but to have it towed to him. When he started to work on it he pulled off the oil pan and found metal shavings in it. Told us the motor was junk and needs replaced. Also there was sludge in the oil pan and under the oil cap. I still owe around $7500 for the car. The mechanic also informed us this motor has been going bad for a long time now, and was a preexisting problem before we bought the car. Now, I am crap out of luck. Told the dealership where we bought it at and he said he can do nothing for us. I am more mad at dodge than the place we bought this car at. After reading this website I know I am not alone. Every story I have read is like reading my own nightmare. But for me, I have only had this car for 1 month and out of $3000. Like others my passenger front window has became stuck and the the rear passenger door locked stayed stuck.
