1988 Buick Park Avenue review from North America
"Like a Timex, takes a lickin still is tickin"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
There has been a few things that have went wrong with this car. The radiator and hoses needed to be replaced right after I got this car from a familymember.
The Coil Pack went bad over the winter and was having trouble trying to diagnose the problem after replacing several parts that probably didn't need to be replaced, but I did anyway.
Original water pump just want bad at 249,989 miles. It also messed up the supentine belt, but that is about all. This car is a champ and keeps going strong.
General comments?
The seats are very comfortable and I love to just cruise down the road with the windows down going 80. This car even though with over a quarter of a million miles still runs like I am sure it did for the original owner, FLAWLESS.
If I could keep from everybody either backing into it, or deer jumping in front of me, it would look much better than it does, but I don't care, I will not part with it even with all of her battle scars. And for being almost 16 years old, I am going to make it last for another 16 years. My goal is 1,000,000 miles. I don't see myself driving anything else. And who says that kids don't like cars meant for their parents?
