1963 Buick LeSabre review from North America
"This car is an all out cruiser"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Needed to replace the wheel cylinders, ty rod ends and shocks. However, all were original factory equipment when I purchased the car.
The lever that controls the heater blower speed broke inside the dash and cannot be welded to repair, a new heater control assembly had to be purchased.
All other interior parts are cosmetically perfect. Seats, carpet, dash, etc are all in perfect condition.
General comments?
This car floats on air as I'm driving. It has no rattles or squeaks. The interior is comfortable and spacious.
I drive my car hard and it doesn't leak or burn oil or coolant. The engine is as sound now as it was when the car was built. Acceleration is a piece of cake at high speeds. Off the line I'd like to see it pick up a little faster. Since the car is big, it doesn't handle that well. But I never seem to be in a hurry when I'm driving it so it's not really an issue for me.
