1993 Chevrolet K2500 review from North America
"Excellent hauler, looks great"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Injection pump at 129,000, normal maintenance.
Injectors at 163,000, normal again.
Alternator at 140,000.
Burned the transmission up pulling a car up a hill. Driver error. Rebuilt to much better specs.
New radiator at about 133,000.
Normal maintenance done.
General comments?
Great truck, extremely reliable and easy to maintain.
The 6.2 engine delivers 21MPG in 6200LB dry weight truck. Truck is becoming heavily modified with 20" rims, lightning, stereo, and some engine mods. 4x4 is useful for pulling things out of mud and sand.
It is a extended cab, long bed, and turns and parking are fun. I back into every parking spot. Would not recommend for someone who is used to driving anything smaller than a barge.
I love this truck and will own it until it dies, which will probably be never considering I can fix anything that goes wrong with it. Can't wait to keep modifying the truck and see what I can do with it.
