1974 Holden HQ 1 TON TRAY review from Australia and New Zealand
"great for do it yourself fans!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Very little as the previous owner had rebuilt the front + brakes. I have had some freeze up problems with the gas conversion during winter mornings!
General comments?
The ute is suited for people who like to work and restore their own vehicles. It has a full chassis and the cabin + front can be removed as assemblies. The tray is easily removed and the driveline can be changed from 6 to 8 cylinder without major drama. Statesman parts such as the front can changed also doors and interior from other models. Due to their design there are still many around although good ones still hold a respectable retail value!
