1992 Lada Niva Utility review from Australia and New Zealand
"A excellent off road vehicle"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
5 gear in the gearbox has gone, which is a common fault.
Rubber dougnut flexible coupling between the transfer case and gearbox needs to be replaced every 20 to 40,000 kilometers.
General comments?
This is the third Lada Niva four wheel drive that I have had.
I love these car's as they are unstopable offroad. Well nearly.
The car has excellent offroad handling.
Comfort level in the ute is better than the wagon's of similar age.
On road handling is average and requires the concentration of the driver at all times.
