1991 Plymouth Colt 200GT review from North America
"Cheaper alternative to the Civic"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Transmission had to be replaced.
Engine supports had to be replaced.
Driver's seat hinge broke.
Premature rust on body and that little reflector thing between the rear brake lights fell off a couple of times (I notice that this is a common - and obvious - problem).
Do not use fuel injector cleaner with this car (it stalls the car).
General comments?
Brilliant little car and excellent to purchase due to its pathetic resale value. My car looks like new and it's not worth the cost of its discount tires.
Fun to drive, but shifting is awkward and rough.
Engine screams when you pass 100 km/hr.
If you find this car in good condition, and you like the ride (make sure you take it on the highway) buy it.
