1988 Ford Scorpio GLi 4x4 review from Netherlands
"Extremely value for money if yu compare it to for example a Audi 100 Qauttro"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Gearbox started to make weird noises.
Rattling sound when doing corners.
The above defects are on this rare 4x4 version very expensive because there where less than fifty on the roads in the Netherlands so there aren't any parts available on the scrap-yard and thereby you have to buy the very expensive new one's from Ford.
Engine computer broke down.
Rust was getting to much so it had to go in 2004.
General comments?
A very reliable car with a great interior for its age. Al options like for example the electrical windows still work perfect. Unlike other Scorpio's this one really drives great because of the 4x4 All Wheel drive system. Even in the winter when the streets are frozen this car still drives very accurate. The car is very fast and strong when you are transporting heavy loads. The only thing about its car is the fuel consumption. It drinks more than me!
