1998 Peugeot 106 zest3 review from UK and Ireland
"Unbelievably cheap to run"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Nothing really...
2 tyres and a rear silencer, and a brake cylinder.
General comments?
Very very cheap car to run...
Costs me 32 quid to fill it and gives me 600 miles in return.
Unfortunatly the car is just too small unless you're a 4 foot midget.
I'm 6ft 3 with 2 kids and in order for me to drive comfortably I have to have the seat right back, even then my head rubs off the roof!
It is reasonably quick for a small diesel and will happily take on most petrol cars upto 1600cc.
I'm selling it at the moment because of space... or lack of it. Its the best little run about you could wish for, but doing any longer than a half hour journey and your rear end feels it!..Its just not a comfortable car.
The diesels require service every 6000 miles, which is a pain, but its easy enough to do yourself, with just a fuel filter, oil filter and oil change your ready to go for another 6000miles.
I would buy another peugeot, but not a 106 just for the sake of size.30 pounds worth of shopping from asda fill the boot to capacity and if you happen to get a few bargains then they'll have to go on the back seat!
