1993 Ford Explorer XLT review from North America
"A great second vehicle"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Transmission rebuilt at 90,000, by previous owner, very lucky because this a major problem with these early models. Replaced spark plugs at 100,000. Oil every 3000 or less. Radius arm bushings. New front brakes. Shocks real soon and also tires. Just normal maintenance.
General comments?
I really love this vehicle, except for the pitiful gas mileage, should of just bought one with a v8 and got almost the same mileage. Great family vehicle can haul lots of stuff. I also like to use it when I go camping, plenty of room to sleep in the back.
