2000 Mitsubishi Galant review from UK and Ireland
"A mush under rated quality car for BMW / Merc money"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Nothing. The car never failed.
Only ever needed to replace blown bulbs, tires and windscreen wipers.
General comments?
A quality car bought on a whim at the time. No regrets though.
The car was heavily used for motorway work and proved comfortable and reliable. it simply never broke down. very good tourer.
Although the performance and economy were adequate the handling on twistier roads was only just acceptable with gross over steer if pushed.
Only real chriticism is the service intervals. At 9000miles they are too short for todays benchmark.
A high quality car that looked as good after 150000miles (when sold) as it did when aquired. the interior (leather) still fresh with no squeaks or rattles. The exterior good with no rust at all even at the stone chips on the front. The long nose seemed to collect them.
