Cylinder head gasket at 213000 miles

Water pump at 213000 miles

Fuel pump at 201000 miles

clutch at 195000 miles.

I have owned 11 cars to date and this is my first Volvo. The car is in mint condition, not a spot of rust. The headlining is begining to drop, but that is the only thing wrong with this car. Although the car is 17 years old, it still `looks the part` and I can turn up at any event and people comment on it, one guy actually said to me "i thought they had stopped making those"!.I will NEVER part with this car, even when it eventually dies. I personally think that the 2 and the 7 series Volvos are the best to come out of Volvos stable and that includes the latest V series, yes they look superb, but the build quality is just not as good, perhaps since Ford took Volvo Cars over. The cost of running the older Volvos is not as bad as people think, main parts compare well with all other car parts, but a trip to the main dealer will prove very costly, so try a scrap yard if possible!.As you can see, i have had to have the car repaired and yes they were expensive jobs, but consider that this car is 17 years old and has travelled 214000 miles and has plenty more life in it, then it balances out. The engine (B200e) is really superb, just four cylinders, but it can push this brick up to 120 MPH, OK it`s a little sluggish on take off, but you can`t have it all, faster 0-60 = bigger engine and more fuel!.
