1968 Cadillac DeVille review from North America
"Just like the USS Enterprise - everyone's favorite"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
I have replaced the carb (original " rebuilt" Rochester Quadra-Jet), and
oil pan, trani, and valve cover gaskets. The rear-engine seal leaks a bit. I'm hoping to get it repaired without dropping the trani. There is still a faint whiff of fuel when the car sits a while. Getting this looked at as well.
General comments?
This beauty is white with a black convertible top. Body has zero filler, with no work that I can see and is as straight as an arrow. It possesses a high gleam paint job, with fantastic chrome, and all outer trim is intact. The interior is black leather (lots of fun in the Florida sun) : the seats, dash and trim in great condition. As usual, the dash clock and A/C don't work. Big deal - this baby turns heads- and runs like a clock.
