1991 Dodge Dynasty LE review from North America
"A great if you're trying to save money!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Replaced alternator shortly after buying it at about 170,000 miles.
Transmission started to slowly go out around that same time.
182000 miles the transmission finally went out.
General comments?
I bought this car for $700 and it was worth it. In the 2.5 yrs that I owned it, it never broke down on me except when the alternator went out. But even then I was able to drive it 2.5 hours to get it fixed cheap for a hundred dollars. After that it was just routine check ups. The transmission started going out shortly after I bought it, but never got bad until the end.
It's a great beater car and helped me to save up a lot of money. On my car before this one I was spending 200-300 a month on repairs. Plus it started great in the cold MN winters.
This car also has a lot of room. Lots of leg room and trunk space. Everything in the car worked yet when I bought it and when it died. I will miss that car.
