2001 Ford Focus Zetec Estate review from UK and Ireland
"An economical, beaut of a car"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Had no problems whatsoever with the car.
General comments?
This is a great car, I bought it because I needed more space as we just had a new baby.
The car is very comfortable to drive for long distances, plenty of leg room.
It is a very economical car, and can do about 350 miles between fill ups, I was quite surprised at this with it being an estate car.
The car also looks great and isn't at all boxy like most estates.
The 1.6 engine is quite quick, but I live in the pennines and I think with hindsight I should have gone for the 1.8 or 2.0 litre engine instead, but that's not a problem with the car.
My only gripe is a little extra development time could have been spent on the air ducts. It may be a silly point, but no matter how hard I try, on a hot day you just can't get the air ducts to point at you when your driving, so the nice conditioned, cool air rushed past each side of your head!
