2002 Mitsubishi Montero Sports XLS review from North America
"The vehicle and its after sles service is completely unrealiable"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Ever since I first brought the car I could hear a vibrating noise emanating, when the vehicle reached between 55-60 miles an hour. I reported this to the dealer during our first scheduled service who dismissed it as something relating to the tires. However, the vehicle continued to emanate the noise. After repeated visits to 2 different Mitsubishi authorized service dealers the noise was never fixed. Now at 46,000 miles the car stalled on the highway reportedly with an issue with its transmission's "transfer keys".
General comments?
The vehicle has several other problems like over heating with the a/c on while it is standing in traffic. Finally, the most difficult aspect is the service. The dealers are unfriendly to the point of being obnoxious. MMC itself is unresponsive.
