1991 Plymouth Voyager Grand LE review from North America

What things have gone wrong with the car?
The transmission has a major problem that came around suddenly.
General comments?
We were given the van and are having trouble getting a title.
We spent $900.00 putting new Goodyear tires all around, new struts on front, new shocks on rear, spring helpers on front & rear, and rebuilding the front end - all bearings and bushings are new.
We got watery gas and had to replace the fuel pump - $180 did the work ourselves.
The only problem we are having that wasn't a problem when we received it is that we were doing our Saturday drive and stopped for about 15 minutes at a yard sale. When we got back into the van, we had only high gear and reverse. Best case scenario is that it is a speed sensor - $50. Worse case scenario is that it is going to need a total rebuild - about $1400.00.
And we thought we were getting a good deal.
The van rides so good and I am a large lady. It has so much room. We will fix it!
The engine runs very well and holds excellent oil pressure.
