2004 Peugeot 206 Coupe Cabriolet review from UK and Ireland
"An expensive mistake"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Oil indicator has never worked properly and always flashes too much oil, too little oil or electrical fault. Dealer has now tried to fix four times without success.
Roof has started to leak.
Rear electric window jams half way up and then front window shuts instead.
Engine loses power for no reason.
Engine has now started to 'pink'.
Ignition did not recognise key and engine would not start.
Major problem with handling and suspension. When roof is down car shakes and judders violently and feels unstable. Dealer changed front wheel bearings to no effect.
Noise from windows rattling is now becoming unbearable.
Central locking button on dash is beginning to become defective.
General comments?
My dream car is going horribly wrong. Spent too much time back at dealers already.
Suspension is far too rigid with roof down.
Car looks wonderful, but inside lurks a disaster.
