1987 Mitsubishi Magna GLX review from Australia and New Zealand
"An OK care if major problems fixed and taken care of"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
The CV joints needed replacing as soon as I got the car, costing $600.
The next problem I had was the Automatic transmission died on me. I replaced it with a second hand one for $800.
The water pump and radiator blew up at the same time, which meant even more money!
Later the timing chain needed replacing costing $600.
I have also had to have a fair few services on my Auto since it was replaced.
Lastly the boot leaks water from somewhere!
General comments?
I bought the Magna from a family member for $800. They had told me that the car
had been reconditioned. But it had not at all.
The problems of a Magna TM are reoccurring, however the car seems to be running better now I have gotten most of the problems fixed.
I have noticed by fixing my Magna and taking care of it, it runs well.
I would not reccommend a Magna for a p-plater or a first car as they cost money!
I will be keeping mine for a few more years to come.
