1995 Volvo 940 Polar review from Belgium
"A lifestyle choice"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
The oil pan on the auto box cracked, welding fixed that. The radiator cracked, but I replaced that in half-an-hour. The most expensive was the ignition power amplifier unit. The rest of the money that I have spent on the car has not been necessary, at least not if you ask my wife.
General comments?
I often drive 24 hour drives or longer, and I hardly notice it. Climate control, autobox, cruise control, power adjustable seats, heated seats, heated mirrors, you name it, my car has it.
The car drives like a dream, the autobox and the low pressure turbo operate very well together as the torque is low down. With the sports suspension that I installed, it also handles very well and corners fast without any complaint.
These cars are built to last and are built to be easy to fix. They are the last of a great generation of Volvos.
