1986 Mazda RX7 GL review from North America
"zoom zoom"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Brake rotors and calipers worn at 61000 miles. Clutch cylinder blew at 59000 miles Horn and radio not working. New seat covers and carpet. sea t covers and new carpets. 59000 miles.
General comments?
Rotary engines often fail because of "carbon lock" so I change the oil every 2000 miles with quality oil and carbon reducing additives. 20w50 is called for in the owners manual and synthetic oil may not be compatible. gasoline made with ethanol could damage the apex seals. An open air intake with a cotton air filter along with a straight pipe preconverter, larger catalytic converter, and dynomax dual exhaust make this wankel quick!
