1997 Dodge Stratus Base review from North America
"Acceptable Choice"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
At purchase the car needed p/s tie rod end. Also had a leaky valve cover gasket. I had the rear brakes redone, including brake cylinders at 73000 Also at that time I had to replace a tie rod end on the other side I have also had some trouble with the automatic function on the drivers side front window.
General comments?
I have found this vehicle quite satisfactory since my initial purchase. Though the vehicle is low, which can complicate entry and exiting, once your inside the car is comfortable and is proving to be quite reliable. I have had no problem with the amount of power this car produces though the transmission doesn't always shift at appropriate times. The overall handling is good and the braking is more than adequate.
