1992 Ford Thunderbird Sport review from North America
"An Awesome platform to build a wicked street car"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
The previous owner repaired the radiator with J.B. Weld and it started leaking, so I replaced it.
The water pump cracked and I had it replaced.
I replaced the stock battery after it lasted for eleven years.
Replaced Throttle-Air bypass valve and PVC valve.
I also replaced the fuel filter, but did not need to.
General comments?
I love this car, I have been a Fan of Thunderbirds ever since I was little and I finally own one!!
I would not get rid of this car for the world.
One of my complaints is the headlights, they were yellowed, so I replaced them.
I think that this car should have been treated to some of the luxury that the Mustang had like, manual transmission for the 5.0 and just as much power if not more than the Mustang.
Why people don't recognize it as a sports car is beyond me, I mean what does a Mustang have that a Thunderbird doesn't? A convertible model and that's it.
I'm building a street motor for my Thunderbird so I can smoke all the Camaros and Mustangs that dare challenge me.
