1990 Volvo 740 review from Australia and New Zealand
"Prefer rear wheel drive what could I replace this with that would be better?"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Nothing has gone wrong with my car except the radiator which was replaced with a metal one. But my wifes Volvo 740 turbo has had a few intermittent problems (hard to trace) including a primary and main pump fuse block. The oxygen sensor just replaced was a tricky one. She has done 60k plus with no major let downs.Love the cloth inserts in leather rather than the leather in mine.Grip on the cloth counts when on long drives.
General comments?
The turbo responds very well in traffic.
Brakes are sound.
Fuel economy is very reasonable.
I have done many long trips in this car and find it is very easy to drive rather than tiring such as was my last car.Safety is a huge concern so after my long trip last week hitting a Kangaroo had me very worried but with the response of the car what could have been a major incident was the loo stop after brush the roo .Got out after 1017 kml fresh .
