2001 Volkswagen Sharan 2.0SE review from UK and Ireland
"A very comfortable, effective vehicle"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Some problems with interior trim. The paint began flaking on the interior door handles after just a few thousand miles.
The backs of two of the seats appear to be quite a vulnerable spot. Two of them cracked quite easily when knelt on (when in the folded position).
General comments?
Apart from a couple of minor issues I've been very happy with this car. It is mechanically flawless and I intend to purchase another one soon.
The sixth gear impressed me most when I first got the car. It turns the car into a very effective motorway cruiser, although sometimes city driving can be hard work.
