2001 Ford Fiesta Zetec S review from UK and Ireland
"For people who like Driving"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Nothing has gone wrong with the car yet - I've only had it a month. When I bought it I had to have the Steering Wheel re-trimmed as the red leather had worn away, which the garage did free of charge.
The brakes were also very soft on the test drive. I mentioned this to the salesman and this seems to have been put right.
There is a fair bit of wear on the seats as well, but I suppose I'm being picky.
General comments?
A really nice car to drive. Reminds me of my old XR2i. Its very nippy in low gears, and seems to stick to the road no matter what I throw at it.
A nice looking car with the standard Ford body kit on. The multi-spoke alloys compliment the car very well, and I got the colour I wanted (black).
Quite sporty interior although I would have liked to of seen this reasonable "Fast Ford" fitted with the recaro seats that the old XR and RS Fiesta's were blessed with.
The stereo is reasonable, although the speakers could do with being a bit more powerful. Ford probably know that these cars are going to be fitted with 6x9's and subs as they become more affordable to boy racers!!!
