1998 Oldsmobile Alero GL review from North America
"If you buy an Alero, have it check out first"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
I just bought a 1999 Oldsmobile Alero in July. The day that I picked it out I was so happy.
The day I purchased it, the rotors where replaced, the owner said that they would last. It's only been 2 months and I now have to replace the rotors and the brakes. I know I bought it used, but I thought it was going to be a good buy.
When I apply the brakes the steering wheel shakes and the the brakes pulsate.
Also when I turn the wheel it makes a clicking noise. Sounds like I might need new bearings also.
My low tire pressure light is on and I have had my tire pressure checked and the guy at the service station said that it was fine.
My anti-lock brake light has come on and my trac off light is on to.
General comments?
I am not going to trash my Alero, but, I wish I would have had it checked by someone other than their mechanic.
