2001 Chevrolet Cavalier Base review from North America

The sun visor on the passenger side started to come apart at 15,000 miles and the dealer replaced it under warranty. The front brakes are pulsating while braking at 20,000 miles. I called the dealer and am in the process of making an appointment to get the problem fixed.

The Cavalier is a great car and would recommend it to anyone looking for a low priced economy car.

You get a lot for your money with the Cavalier and the car gets good gas mileage. Mileage is around 30 mpg combined city-highway driving and 38 mpg on a trip. Standard features include body side moldings, rear window defroster, anti-lock brakes, intermittent wipers, remote trunk release, and AM/FM/CD player radio.

I can always depend on this car to get me to where I'm going. Nothing fancy, just a dependable, durable economy car. I have seen many older Cavaliers with well over 200,000 miles on the 2200 overhead valve engine, so with proper care and maintenance the Cavalier should hold its own compared to any import in its price range.
