1998 Chevrolet Blazer ZR2 review from North America
"Not a very practical vehicle, but fun"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Numerous rock chips along rocker panel due to tire style and no mud flaps. Dealer offered to repaint it.
Paint on spare tire carrier didn't hold up well. Had to be repainted in less than a year. Dealer repainted.
Dome light flickered due to faulty rear hatch. Adjustment repaired it.
General comments?
This vehicle is very underpowered when the electric fan turns on, which is accompanied by a noticeable roaring noise. The ride was acceptable for a 4x4 of this type. Interior held up well and layout was fine. I had received a lot of complements regarding the look and stance of it. I really liked the look and fell of this truck, but I would be concerned once they started getting some miles on them. I leased this vehicle and overall I thought the value was slightly overpriced, but acceptable if your willing to pay for the looks.
