2003 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport SE review from UK and Ireland

Nothing at present only owned the car 2 weeks.

I was looking for a replacement for my 6yr old Jaguar XJ8 because of its age and the fact that at 52yrs old and an expanding midrif I was looking for a replacement vehicle that I could get in and out of easily but would still give me a buzz and a smile on my face when i get in.

I had read a number of recent reviews on this car and after a test drive I was very pleasantly surprised.Getting in and out was dead easy and the performance whilst not up to Jag standards is very respectable and I get 30% more miles per gallon so the car will be easier on my wallet.

The car design is excellent, it handles well(goes round corners like its on rails) and performance is good for a 4 cylinder, mine has the new Mivac engine and an extra 20 horses.

I love the simple but classic interior it has all the toys you need and everything is just in the right place.

Whilst I was sad when I handed the jag keys over to the mitsubishi dealer in part exchange for the outlander I am exited at the prospect of driving the outlander for the next 2-3 yrs.I hope the mitsubishi will be as reliable as the Jag has been over the 3 yrs I had it ( absolutely no breakdowns or expensive repairs just the annual service)
