1993 Dodge Intrepid review from North America
"A piece of garbage. No wonder the value is so low"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
When I first bought the car at 83,000 miles, the engine blew. It had to be replaced.
The tie rods had to be replaced at 86,000 miles.
The transmission doesn't change gears when the car is cold in the morning. It has to warm up for at least 15 minutes before I can put it into reverse or drive.
The car rumbles when accelerating slowly between 25-40 MPH. It seems like the transmission is slipping.
The gages stopped working at 100,000 miles. The gas gage needle runs up and down by itself, even if the tank is filled.
The rear sway bar is not working properly as the rear of the car sways from side to side when hitting a bump on a turn.
The driver power seat is not working properly. It doesn't lean back all the way.
The water pump is leaking, and causes the car to overheat. it was replaced at 102,000 miles.
Continuous problems with the A/C. The compressor was replaced and there is a freon leak.
General comments?
The car is fast. That is about it. Every other comment I have would be negative.
