1998 Chevrolet Malibu LS review from North America
"I love my HOOPTY"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
First thing I replaced were the tires... Big deal. Second was the water pump, Cheap. third were the brakes which has been the most expensive so far. And even that I think was my error because I should have kept up on them. I kept putting them off until they completely gave out. Other than that I had little things be fixed. The radio was replaced while it was still under warranty, the driver side window fell off the track,... that's pretty much it. The only thing I can say I do not like in this car is the Coolant. But it is the actual coolant, it has nothing to do with the car.
General comments?
I LOVE my little car. I am verry rough on it and it is still going strong. I am VERY surprised on all the complaints on this car! I have over 60000 miles on it and its been great. Of course it's had parts replaced or repaired here an there, but over all for the price I got it for, I don't mind. I don't expect it to run like a Jag. or Mercedes after five years. Just like anything else time takes its toll. I keep up the maintenance and it's a happy camper. I put regular gas in it & regular oil with oil changes.
