1995 Nissan Maxima SE review from North America
"Best car in its class for the money"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Replaced front 02 sensor and Knock Sensor.
Replaced front strut mounts.
Replaced EGR solenoid valve.
General comments?
With the given mileage of the car, I.
Was expecting things to go wrong. Check
Engine Light did not go on to detect
Malfunction of Knock Sensor. Dealer had
to manually extract this code. Dealer
had quoted me $500 to replace this!!
$250 for parts and $250 labour. I did
Not fall for this scam. I was
Referred to a website maxima.org to
find out alternate methods on how to
Fix..Thanks to this website, this part
Only costs me $90 from Ebay and I
Installed this myself in about 20
minutes.
After replacing this part, this car
Felt quicker.. significantly quicker
This car has some serious power mated
With the 5 speed. This car is very
Comfortable, especially on the highway
With regular maintenance this car will
hopefully last for another 100k!
