1989 Lotus Excel SA review from UK and Ireland
"Outstanding Good"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Radiator fan, this was replace at minimal cost from a scrap yard. Ford fiesta/escort fans fitted as standard.
General comments?
Routine change a cam belt is not an afternoon job. This is not a sierra. Foue days and £300 later!
The fuel consumption is around 22mpg using Optimax.
These points are balanced against a truly wonderful driving expierience. The steering is precise the suspension tought. On car that is 15 years old and looks no more than 5.
