1999 Dodge Intrepid review from North America
"Spacious for children, not safe for your children..."
What things have gone wrong with the car?
We have a (still owe 8k) 1999 Dodge Intrepid 3.2l bought used in Portage, Indiana with 66k in 2-03, now has 97k in 10-04 with loads of problems, with bad valve guide causing us to burn oil at 3-5 quarts monthly (minimum $971 in labor alone to fix), check engine light on often, windows, all 4 has to be continiously fixed, interior lights flash for no reason at any given time, front end shakes, O2 sensor replaced, PVC valve replaced, getting ready for 2nd time replacement, AC fan went out, foul smell sometimes comes out of vents when heat is turned on, front right side shakes, with no visible problem, car choking out at 55-65 mph on highway, AutoZone gave me code P1391 ignition wires needs to be replaced, this my dears friends is just a small percentage of problems. who has the money to fix all of this when I am the only one working to support my 7 month old and 6 year old when my husband has been out of work for over 2 years because of an illness? Not me and certainly no help from Dodge. This is our 3rd Dodge-Chrysler vehicle. Overall this is the end of a Dodge fan here, bye Dodge, hello Ford or Chevy.
