1990 Oldsmobile 88 Royale review from North America
"Well worth the money"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
I purchased the car as a winter beater for 500 bucks. I changed its oil regularly and nothing ever went wrong with my car. Even at 270,000 miles. Basic stuff has worn out, but it was to be expected for a car with that many miles. Like the headliner started falling. The driver's side rear door was stuck shut. Then the brakes went at 282,000. That was to be expected seeing as how I never serviced the car past scheduled oil changes.
General comments?
I was very happy with this car. It was well worth the 500 I spent on it. I only had one problem driving this car, I got pulled over at least 7 times a week. Sometimes 3 times in 1 day. The car started showing its mileage. Rust and the dent where I hit a tree. So the police wouldn't leave me and my hoopty alone. They thought I was a drug dealer or something. But all in all, The car was fast when it needed to be and never ever died on my or would not start.
