1998 Ford Escort ZX2 review from North America
"Best bang for your buck"
General comments?
This car provides the performance and handling of a stock 20-22 thousand dollar car for 15 thousand dollars fully loaded.
I have never had any problems with my ZX2. The only time it's been in a garage is for oil changes and belt inspections.
This car out accelerates and out performs every car in its class. There are now a large number after market performance parts available for the ZX2 too. The Focus ZX3 and Escort ZX2 may share the same motor, but the ZX2 is faster and out performs the ZX3 due to its higher gear ratios and lighter body weight. I think the ZX2 looks more sporty too. I love this car because of its reliability and fun.
