1982 Daihatsu F50 review from Australia and New Zealand
"Great starter 4wd"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
The front left hub bolts are weak from the moment they left the production line. The ignition doesn't turn back, and the handbrake is very stiff.
General comments?
This makes a good first 4wd and you can learn a lot in one. They are great on the beach and light on fuel. Their suspension is a real problem when you feel every tiny rock in the road. They have a hell of a lot of low-down torque, but are not very good at doing speeds of over 80km/h, and are very noisy.
